Non-alcoholic beverages, and in particular non-alcoholic sparkling wines, have in many cases originated thanks to women. Whether it is a non-alcoholic shop, such as Free Spirit, or a non-alcoholic drinks company, you are more likely to see a woman at the helm of a non-alcoholic business.
Non-alcoholic innovations, such as premium non-alcoholic drinks and business concepts, are often born when women are pregnant, and unfortunately - when women also witness the harms of alcohol in their daily lives more often than others. To celebrate Women's Day, we wanted to highlight some of the bold and visionary pioneers of non-alcoholic wines and brands who inspire us to choose and demand better quality non-alcoholic products in our daily lives.
The women entrepreneurs who run and set up alcohol-free companies are doing brave and exemplary work to help people enjoy life and everyday life in a healthier way.
FRENCH BLOOM
Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger & Constance Jablonski
Long-time friends Constance and Maggie, who were already living on opposite sides of the Atlantic, met again in Paris in 2019. Maggie, who works as a director of Michelin Guide, was expecting twins while Constance continued her career as a top model. Both were united by a strong desire to pursue well-being despite the challenges of everyday life. In social situations, they had noticed a complete lack of non-alcoholic, yet festive and stylish drinking options. This is how the idea of French Bloom was born. Through its innovative and female-driven brand, French Bloom offers a tickling alternative for anyone who wants to celebrate important moments in style and in a new way: enjoying precious moments with friends and family - without alcohol.
French Bloom is the drink that crystallises the most beautiful memories.

NOUGHTY
Amanda Thomson
Amanda Thomson, founder and CEO of Thomson & Scott, created Noughty, one of the world's first range of quality non-alcoholic wines.
With her roots in South Asia, Amanda became a well-known journalist and has now been awarded the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Entrepreneur award for the best wine concept. She has also been voted one of the most interesting people in food and drink by Business Insider and has been recognised in the EY Winning Woman programme.
Noughtyis now served in the world's most upmarket bars, restaurants, hotels and spas in major markets such as the US, Canada and across Europe. In the US, Noughty is available in Michelin-starred restaurants, five-star hotels, and the best bars and clubs in the country.

SO JENNIE
Jennie Kergoat-Ruelland
In 2010, Jennie Kergoat-Ruelland, who organises prestigious international events, was commissioned to organise a princess wedding in Abu Dhabi. While trying to find a non-alcoholic beverage that would top off the wedding menu in style, Jennie couldn't find a worthy alternative for the occasion, despite her best efforts.
For Jennie, who enjoys life and good company herself, this was the impetus to create her own non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Back in Paris, she set out to develop a recipe that would combine the essence of the French lifestyle with modern drinking trends. Jennie spent countless hours finding and fine-tuning the perfect balance of ingredients - with a precision reminiscent of a master jeweller finishing his most precious piece of jewellery.
Jennie had barely launched her brand when the prestigious International Culinary Order awarded her a quality diploma in recognition of the drink's refined taste.
So Jennie Paris brings a slice of Parisian charm to every corner of the world and illuminates special moments, from big events to intimate dinners for two. So Jennie is served in Michelin-starred restaurants, in Paris's most luxurious five-star hotels and on flights on the world's leading airlines.
